Start your coaching journey today by joining our inaugural cohort of our year-long professional coach training program, Coaching for Complexity, and become a Professional Global Certified Coach.  Every training at Global Focus Coaching is grounded in a commitment to social and environmental responsibility and enriched with our combined decades of crafting trainings that are life-affirming, authentic, and vulnerable. We welcome coaches from all backgrounds who are improving their communities through the transformative magic of coaching.

Program Details

Program instructors: This program will be led by our founding faculty, Briana Bellamy and Jenny Wagner, sprinkled with guest appearances from our diverse community of coaching instructors.

Program details: 125 contact hours

Intentional design: We’re two professional moms who get that it’s hard to fit things into your already-full life, and we designed this program for folks who have a lot going on.

Four intensive training weekends. In the coming year, we will meet four times on Zoom for a weekend intensive training on Saturdays and Sundays Our training intensive weekends will take place on the following dates from 9:00 am PST/noon EST until 3:00 pm PST/6:00 pm EST.

  • October 14-15, 2023
  • January 20-21, 2024
  • April 6-7, 2024
  • July 27-28, 2024

 

  • 12 hours of group mentoring. Between sessions, we will meet for a total of twelve small group mentoring sessions to discuss challenges and best practices. You should anticipate spending one hour per month on these sessions this year.

 

  • Assignments and readings. Between intensives, you may have reading and reflection assignments. You should plan to spend 1-3 hours per quarter on assignments.

 

  • 3 hours of 1:1 mentor coaching. During the program, you will receive three 1:1 mentor coaching sessions with one of our faculty or another trained mentor coach. These three sessions will be spaced out during the year.

 

  • 50 hours of practical coaching. After our first intensive weekend, you will begin finding clients to log practical coaching hours. To graduate the program, you must fulfill log 50 coaching hours with at least ten clients. A minimum of five of these clients must complete at least six sessions with you. At least five of your clients cannot be people you know previously. These 50 hours count towards your ICF Coaching hours requirement for an ACC or PCC credential.

 

  • Final performance evaluation. At the conclusion of the program, your learning culminates with a demonstration of your coaching skills. Our teaching team will assess whether your coaching demonstrates the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics and you will receive feedback in real time on your coaching strengths and areas of development.

Features

Somatic coaching weekend retreat (optional).

You may choose to join our annual somatic coaching retreat, tuition-free, in the Bay Area (date TBD) the summer after your program begins. If you miss any of our intensive sessions or assignments, this can serve as an opportunity to make them up.

Tuition: $9,650 $4,825

We are offering 50% off this tuition for participants in our 2023-24 pilot program— this means that pilot participants will pay a total of for our inaugural program). This is a unique opportunity to participate in our inaugural professional coach certification at a reduced rate.

Accreditation:

Graduates of our Coaching for Complexity will become a Professional Certified Global Coach. This coach training program meets all the standard Level 2 requirements of the ICF. Because this is our pilot program, we are submitting for program accreditation at the end of the program. Once our accreditation is approved by the ICF, graduates of the pilot cohort will be eligible to apply for an ICF ACC or PCC credential.

Payment details:

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due after enrollment to confirm your place in the program. Payment plans are also available for qualifying participants.
